08' 6.7 - Decision Time
Apache, I've got 5800 miles on mine so far, and my empty MPG's are 15.5 arounf town and 18 - 19 highway; that's hand calculated numbers. This is better than my '05 dually 5.9 manual got, so I'm already ahead of the game there. Since my 6.7 is a srw, I expected slightly better mileage, so I'd rate it dead even with the 5.9 considering the 5.9 was running on LSD and the 6.7 is running on ULSD which decreases mileage anyway. I think Flattman said it pretty well, so I'll leave it at that and just re-iterate that I'm very happy with the truck. BTW, towing my 5'ver I get 1 to 1 1/2 mpg better with the 6.7 tahn I did with the 5.9 dually.
2008 Mega 4X4 ...HAPPY AS A DEAD PIG IN THE SUNSHINE
If I had kept listening to the "naysayers" I would have bailed out on my new
truck and can't tell you how glad I hung in there. Never had any brand that
handles so good....steering feels like a sports car. The mating of the 6.7L
with the 6-speed auto is a match made in heaven. I've only got 3700 miles
on mine so far, had no problems, and couldn't be happier!!!! Just wait till you
get to play with that exhaust brake and the paddle shifter on the gearshift.
Mannnnnnn......
