hey guy's on my 07 (ctd auto) the shift lever has O/D OFF & TOW/HAUL is there any differance between the two?? my 05 doesn't have this only tow/haul, and what would the differances be?? possibly the O/D OFF locks the converter and makes the tranny a 3speed?

 

I'm a newbie here also but from what I have been told is the O/D off does just that it shuts down the overdrive on the trans where the tow/haul changes the shift points to better utilize the torque

 

The tow/haul mode raises the shift points and locks the convertor up sooner in 3rd gear and can keep it locked when downshifting in to second. OD off, simply locks out 4th/OD.
