You have an 07.5 (6.7L Cummins defines a 07.5).

NO, question was what engine do you have, if a 5.9 engine its an early 07, if the 6.7 engine than it's the 07.5.

one other thing about first oil change. I have built quite a few gasoline engines and have always drained the oil at about 500-1000 miles. Would this still hold true to a diesel? I think your engine probably dumps more metal particulates in the first 1000 miles?> any input?

You computer will tell you when to do an oil change.. it has sensors to tell when its time.. this all varies on your driving habits... Mine told me to change at 2600 miles and again at 9600 miles.. now have 11200 miles and it has not told me to change again since 9600miles.

Weird.. My Change oil came on and It had 3600 miles on it. I called the dealer and they said to clear it. There was no need to bring it in until the 7500 mark as per the book. Are you sure the computer can tell when it needs to be changed? The dealer told me that they don't set the computers from the factory and that's why the light came on.

some one was saying that there was a flash to correct the Change oil message coming on too soon. Not sure how accurate that is but i believe it seeing as how some of the ppl with the first production trucks, pre new flash vehicles had them coming on ever thousand miles or so.

I personally would not trust a device telling me to change my oil. I do thank you for the advice
