Same here, doesn't sound right. I could not find a 03 for less than $20k around here. That is why I went ahead and bought new $32k and a warranty (though it seems debatable whether or not the warranty is any good.) Is it truly a diesel? I found several trucks advertised as diesels (03 Dodge Ram V8 diesel for $15k) that were obviously not diesel. I wouldn't touch it because something, somewhere is wrong.

Is it a regular cab? Even so, then that price is a pretty good.
NADA has it at $18,600-$22,000

Better buy it if the title is clean.

I know exactly what you're saying here. There are guys (mainly dealers) trying to sell 04-05 CTD Rams with up to 50K miles on them for $30K, all while you can buy a brand new '07 CTD SLT 4x4 quad cab for $34K or an '06 leftover for $31K or $32K. Some of the used truck prices are insane.

Once it pops 100k price falls big.Two I knew of that were clean, everthing worked etc.with 150k on them traded in value wasn't but in the 14k range. Both sold off the behind the scene lot(wholesale)in a couple days for a few bucks more.
I'd say it mainly has to due with a lack of factory warranty. Well, for the diesels anyway.
