You guys with 4:10s

Mine has the 4:10,and when the overdrive/fake Tow/Haul mode is on,I am getting a LOUD clunking sound under deceleration, when I let off the throttle it clunks,I know there is some back lash but this is really loud,I keep the overdrive locked out when driving in town.
Anyone else notice this??

Dave, are you sure its ADM Bill Haley, or ADM Bill Halsey?

Can't help you on the clunk.

Mine is smooth and quiet when unlocked of locked. Might be time for the dealer to hear it. Hope you get it worked out.

Well it is going in monday for them to fix the roof when they installed my clearance lights there drill slipped and gouged the paint with a nice dent, but they are going fix it and give me something to drive,I will have them look at it and see what it might be.It dont do it in overdrive.

Dave,
The noise is the 4X4 transfer case. All the 4X4 will do the same thing. The guys with the 4X2 won't have the noise.
Have fun.

My 4x4 doesn't clunk during deceleration or any other time.

Have the dealer check it out.

I'm on my fourth Dodge 4x4. Eventually they all have a clunk on decel. It won't happen all the time but you can usually make them do it if coasting and acellerate and then decel quickly. I wouldn't worry about it.
