Winter front on or off

I am using my winter front with 2 flaps open in 20 deg weather and it seems about right. In a few weeks I will be pulling a 7500 # cargo trailer to the gulf coast where it could easily be in the 70's. Can I open up all 4 flaps for enough cooling and go or should I just take the dang thing off and let it breathe all the way?

Since it seems you are going south and towing as well, I would say take it off, you might regret leaving it on once you reach those 70 degree temps otherwise. It'll just take a little longer to warm up initially.

I would say take it off once you get into warmer weather, then throw it behind the back seat. Your not just blocking the radiator with it, you're blocking the intercooler and especially the trans cooler. If you have a trans temp guage, you would be able to monitor as the outside temperatures increase.

I remove the mopar cover above 40F. That's going from experience with my tranny guage. If the front is on, with all flaps open above 40f, the tranny temps run higher than normal. For me, I've found below 40f, the front on all flaps open and blockheater for 2 hrs. Below 32f, closed bottom and left side flap, plugged in for 3-4 hrs. Below 20f, all flaps closed and plug in for at least 6+hours. Makes one heck of a difference, no white smoke start and smooth idle. Still find cab heat slow to come on as always.
