Will not start. Batteries were dead?

My nieghbor called me today. One of his farm hands left lights on and his batteries were dead. Its an 05 5.9 6 speed. 3500 dually if it matters. They charged the batteries and it will now crank but will not start. He said it will not begin to fire at all. The truck ran fine and always has up to this point. About 40000 miles. not abused at all, dealer maintenance all ways. Any pointers for me?? Thanks guys.

Although it is not normal, a bad drain on the batteries like that can kill them. I would try to do a low amp slow charge for about 10-14 hours. If there is still no luck, he will most likely need new batteries.

Might have bad skim module if you have vehicle theft option. Pull the IOD fuse and wait about a 10 minute. Install the fuse Pulling the IOD fuse resets the WCM.
