Will Not Start

Tthis is a 2007,5.9, 3500 auto, single wheel. with 252+++ miles. Bought the truck about a month ago and it has been working great. Starting with no problems until tonight. Went to pick my wife up shut truck off loaded all her stuff got back in put key in ignition turned it to start and nothing. All the normal dash lights come on hear some clicking down near I'm guessing a computer behind injection pump on side of engine. There is a buzzer sounding noise coming from behind dash under radio but it has been doing that since I bought it. The other weird thing is I can take key fob and hit lock/unlock buttons or panic button and there is nothing. The key does not come out of ignition very easily when I shut engine off. Also when shifting from park to drive it takes some effort to move lever into reverse. It acts like it is stuck in park. Also can I check codes without a code reading tool. I have a 2001 Dodge Durango and I can make codes come up in the odometer window by activating key 3 times. Is this something I can do with this truck? Thanks for any help!

WOW 123 looks and only 1 comment! Guess I stumped all ya'all! Anyway my truck threw a U0168 Code which is: Lost Communication With Vehicle Security Control Module! $800 later and I'll be back on the road!

Since a loss of power or ground to the vehicle security control module can cause this code, did you already inspect the batteries and terminal connections as mentioned in the first reply? I imagine many of us didn't respond as we were waiting to hear back from you after that first thing to always check.
