will fluid come out of my transmission if it is disconnected from the transfer case?

My question is will transmission fluid come out of my transmission if the transmission is disconected from the transfer case? Or is there just a shaft that i will see with no fluid?
Reason being is my truck is going into the dodge dealership to have a the transfer case motor and FCM replaced. And i don't think they know i have an
ATS transmission which does not take there trasmission fluid, but the senthetic that ATS requires. Just would like to know if i need to bring senthetic with me.
thank you.

bring some. I have not had one of these out but it looks like a similiar mount as a dakota I did and it lost fluid. I would loose it the same as taking the driveshaft out of a 2 wheel drive. If the back of the tranny hangs done it will probably leak. Best to ask at the shop and tell them your concerns.

All our tranny's take synthetic ATF. I don't think ATS is any different. If they are, what exactly do they use???

You wont loose any fluid from there. I just installed my own last week and not a drop from there. The transfer has a seal on the front.
