Who else dis-likes there 6 speed manual?

I did that once, in a Mack RS600, wet surface on I45 and just dang near lost it.

I like the 6 speed. Less of a chance being stranded far from any services. With an auto, if it goes bad, you are stuck, with a stick, even if the clutch ***** out, you could still probably start in gear and match shift enough to get it home. Plus with the control the tranny gives you with large trailers, and knowing you are putting every ounce of energy into the driveline, you know you are not wasting fuel. Scotty

I have a heck of a time shifting out of second till it gets warmed up. Also it demands a lot of attention to make sure that you don't get a lot of driveline clanging when backing up or shifting up with the truck grossed out. I never want an auto though!!

I don't know about some of y'all ..... seems like ya got to whine about something all the time Me and my truck (NV5600) get along just fine; all the time
