hey guys buddy of mine just picked up a 04.5 he has been driving it for two days . He went out to drive it tonight starting it up it was fine. but when he went to put it in gear it stumples . now at start up it blows white smoke . the truck has a FASS pump ,TST powermax , htt sled puller 66 . what could be the problem ?

 

Injector failure possibly, check the oil and see if it has gained any and if you can tell if there is any fuel in there.

 

Is it a light puff at start up or does it blow a big cloud of white smoke? Mines doing the same thing but I'm thinking (hoping) it's my LP not supplying enough psi.

My 04.5 did the same thing awhile back. It was after I bought a Diablo Predator. Once I changed the oil out and starting adding a mixture of Marvel Mystery Oil and Power Service it went away. My oil never smelled liked diesel nor did the fluid level raise. Don't know if the stock lift pump had anything to do with it, but it did go out about 5 months later.
