Wheels online

For all of you that bought your wheels online were did you find the best price for them. I have found a pile of web sites and there is some huge price differances for the same wheel.
Thanks
P.S. The total price with the shipping there also seems to be a big swing there.

Always watch shippng. That's how some recoup their low price offers.

Also, it is often cheaper to ship to a business address than a residence address. For example have items shipped to the installer address; or to where you work if your employer will allow or pick them up yourself at the UPS or FedEx location.

Something else to consider - after you find the lowest on line price, get a print out of the total cost, including shipping, and take it in to your local retailer.

I've had good luck with both Discount and Big-O matching the on-line prices on tires and wheels.

STAY AWAY FROM THE WHEEL CONNECTION! I ordered a wheel from them to replace a 22 that got damaged in an accident. Ordered the wheel back in October and still haven't seen it, and they have not credited my back 590 dollars that was billed to my debit card. I have Chase on it now as well and will most likely get some money back from Chase, but nothing out of The Wheel Connection. The next time I travel through Missouri, I seriously plan on stopping by and having a "little discussion" with the Manager Michael. Local authorities have numerous complaints against them, and you can also Google Search them and see numerous complaints. I wouldn't give them a chance to sell me lugnuts. I did the samething got a price online for my XD Wheels and took that to the dealer while my truck was in the bodyshop. Local supplier got the wheels and even mounted them on my old tires for free. They only asked that I send them business if someone asks about where the wheels came from.

Talking

Something else to consider... if you get an out-of-round tire , or some other issue , you`ll be wishing you bought from the local tire guy....

Like someone already said , get the best price online , and at least give the local guy a chance....you may be suprised

Yeah I hear ya I have talked to some of the local places. I wasn't having good luck until tonight I went to sears and they seem to have a good price but the weekend help could not tell me if the center caps came with them or not. I have to check with them next week.
