the skip in the teeth being gone caused the speed/abs sensor to read wrong and go crazy.. it would tell the ecm and abs module that i was constantly going different speeds... its not a dumb question..

not yet.. im the 3rd owner of the truck and the previous owner is a good friend and he said he has never had the rear diff cover off.. i spent almost 2hrs inspecting it with out actually pulling the carrier out and couldnt find anything else wrong. i even pulled the axles and made sure the tubes were clean.. but hopefully next week ill be able to order the new ring and get it installed.. plus its a dealer only item..
