Question What the?? (update to lift pump failed, now what)

A quick review, My lift pump failed, leaving me with a 30 ft trailer and a dead truck 100 miles from home .. So, after enlisting the help of a friend to get the trailer home, and a friendly tow truck driver (courtesy of AAA) I got to my dealer. Dealer says lift pump, covered under warranty. After I got it back, the truck seemed to have a "flat spot" in the accelerator.. Whatever speed I was going, it took a lot of pedal to speed up... then it would still throw you into the back seat...

Now for the new (and more confussing part)

I had not had the chance to pull with the truck since it was fixed. I pulled last week (my travel trailer, approx 9,000 lbs) on the way down the truck pulled "ok" never ran out of power, but did not seem to have the "still can't wipe the smile off my face" power I was used to. It's almost 3 hrs one way, and acted the same all the way down. Then, on the way home... I was driving along about 60mph (my choice, not max speed my any means), and the truck just TOOK OFF ! I was able to back down on the accelerator almost half way, and could speed up an pass anybody at least as well as before??? It was so noticible, the wife even commented on it. I told her we just got a HUGE tailwind, but it never went away.

So, Anybody have any ideas what the problem was, and can I expect (I hope) it to stay fixed??

Thanks,
Dennis

Check for a leak on the CP3 pump. You may have some wetness on the swaybar. Just trace it back. Bosch had an issue with some faulty seals on the CP3. I had mine replaced at 21,000 miles and yes my LP went 3 months after that. Also, check your oil. You may have an injector sticking and if it is you may have some extra diesel in the oil. Make sure you go to the 7 Micron filter(Premium). You can get it from Geno's. Hope this helps.

Edited: My truck also had more pep after the LP change. Very noticeable.
