You can't get any of them in either 8 or 10 ply. They are D or E rated, but not 8 or 10 ply. Read the side of the tire to satisfy yourself on this.
I have E-rated ten ply BFG all terrain KO's they are the stock size 265/70 R17
here is the size chart..

they make a LT285/70R17/E

I had D rated BFG 285s on mine too. Liked the traction. But one unexpectedly blew out on the highway after a minor cut in the sidewall. Not a cut that got into the cord, just a little slice in the rubber and that's where it blew out.
In other words, they rely on the rubber for sidewall strength. Very, very weak in the sidewall, but also soft riding, if that's what you want.
Real trucks need real tires that are tough, unless you just want to putt around town and pick up groceries.
So after two sets of BFGs in 315 D and 285 D I went with Toyo 285/75 E and discovered a real truck tire. A little rougher ride, but they can handle anything the Dodge can. One interesting note is that they do the same job at significantly lower pressure. It's all about sidewall stiffness.

There will be a small difference in torque. You can correct the speedometer by adjusting the pinion factor at the dealership or by getting a Smarty.
