What do I got?

I'm new to the site, new to Dodge and newer to Diesel. I see different designations in posts regarding the transmission. How do I know what tranny I have. How do I know if I have the anti-spin (limited slip?) diff? I bought used so no window sticker.

Thanks
Ken

Fill out your signature so everyone knows what you have. Otherwise we are clueless.

There is also a sticker on the side of the valve cover that gives the hp/tq rating. You will know then if you have a 2004, or 2004.5. The 2004.5's were all 325 hp HO motors. there were a few configurations of 2004 motors based on emissions requirements where it was originally sold.

The sticker in the glove box will let you know gear ratios/limited slip info. Your tranny is a 48RE auto.

Hope that helps.

Thanks everyone!
What is the difference between th 47re and 48re? Anything significant? Is the 48 just 1 better than the 47?
