What "designation" are the 5.9 engines?

Looking at buying a long block or new/used engine if I can find one, But I see things like"6B".

What "type" of engine is the 5.9? Comming out of a 2005 dodge.

If you take your existing engine, and give the serial number to cummins, they will be able to tell you a reman number for the long block or drop in configuration.
