What are the chances????

What are the chances that the replacement turbo installed by my dealer is a bad one? Is this common? They replaced a turbo for me under warranty because of seepage out the back ( Not enough to Drip) and oily intercooler hose.

Now after 6,000 miles on the new turbo the back of the turbo had a drip just starting to form at the bottom and the intercooler hose is moist again. Oil level is not changing on the dip stick . Runs fine. Thanks for the advice.

PS I do have a Pac brake but so do thousands of others here on this board and the dealer never mentioned it before as a possible cause.

Its a pretty good chance the one they installed could be a bad one, and I say that from experience. When dodge replaced my tranny, the tech was test driving it with the new one in the truck and it went out before he even left the parking lot.

I would be afraid something else might be goin on, blockage in the return line for one, higher than normal oil pressure causing high flow through the turbo......... or the teck got the two mixed up on the bench and put the used one back in after something distracted him, say a blonde walking by..........

Thanks for the advice, I know this turbo was new, it looks completely different from the old one. Not even close to the same color! LOL I made an appt for a week to get it in. I think the Turbo return hose is a great place to start.
