I started the truck as usual this morning. It was 40 degrees with some rain. Truck ran pretty rough. I woudn't say alarmingly rough, but way more than usual. No smoke that I could see. I backed out the driveway and headed down the road slowly and it felt like I was on a rough road. As soon as I turned the corner and headed out it IMMEDIATLY smoothed out, like a switch had been turned on. Like when you have the parking brake on and reach down and pull the lever. It was instant. Then ran perfectly all the way to work and is smooth as glass once I go there.

Only thing I can think of is I didn't let the Grid heaters cycle. I always do and it is habit but maybe not this time. Any ideas??? I will change the fuel filter when I get home today.

I am going to Check that AC compressor wire and also need to know where the Timing sensor is. Heard these can rub. Where would the timing sensor be located at/

 

It's near the bottom of the motor, toward the drivers side, right behind the harmonic balancer.
