Who runs Marvel Mystery oil?

I use this additive along with powerservice and was amazed at how low the rating was on the Chevy test site. It sure makes my truck run smoother is anyone else using it??

used to run it all the time, but after seeing the report just running 1 quart of 2-stroke in my truck now. Runs great and alot quieter with 2-stroke

I too have been running the PSD/MMO mix but after reading the report, I havn't run anything. Im still kinda skeptical of putting 2 cycle oil in my tank.

Thats what I was wondering! My truck runs so good on the MMO/PS mix. I think I might just run the Power service by itself!!! Or even lucus is better..

I can see where you're coming from, but if you look at it, I believe he was very thorough in his research and it was well documented, this is why I believe so many put stock in the findings. Just my .02.

I have ran 2 stroke for 90,000 miles, now switching to soybean oil since that is I believe biodiesel is made from. from 90 to 95 k I ran a 50 /50 mix ,now I am going 100 % soy and see what happens. So far engine is very smooth .

There are specific scientific reasons not to run MMO, but if you think it makes your truck run better, don't let science stand in the way - that's what it comes down to - owner satisfaction.

A lot of people swear to the positive effects of Acetone - Acetone evaporates into the tank-space above the fuel within a few seconds of hitting the warm fuel - how can it help if it is not in solution - but they swear to increased power and fuel economy.

2-stroke motor oil is specifically formulated for combustion chamber service, as is the other light oil you put in your fuel tank - Diesel fuel - it merely adds lubricity to a fuel from which most of the lubricity components were removed during the de-sulphurization processes - just in case the distributor is slack in mixing in the required additives at the terminal.

Ashless 2-stroke will pass emissions standards, as it is also sulphur-free - 16oz\40gal may or may not improve your fuel mileage a little, but it surely helps protect your mechanical P7100 @5000psi, VP44 @10000psi, and CP3 @23000psi Inj Pump mechanisms.

The VP44 and the CP3 use the pumped fuel as the sole lubricant.

That's my story, and I'm stickin' to it................

Over on BOb is the oil guy they have some good scientific evidence to show why the Chevy Additive test was not accurate as it could have been.. I was just enlightened to this by another member.

I'm on my second tank with MMO. I was having grey smoke on 1st start in the morning. I was sure the injectors were leaking down overnite. I took it to the dealer. They reflashed the ECM and the service manager asked me to try 2 tanks with MMO before he changed the injectors. I still have a little smoke but it is 500% better than before. I wished I had run 1 tank without the MMO to see what the reflash did before the MMO. I may leave the MMO out on the next tank. I asked the service mgr about MMO and the warranty and he said it would not void the warranty. I tried PS before going to the dealer but it didn't help.

I will have to find the thread over on the BITOG site but what it brought up was the fact that 2 stroke oil makes the compustion of the fuel HOTTER and thus it may be burining better but you were risking melting a piston or worse... That it was not designed to be burned in a Diesel Engine.. Let me see what I can find this was off the top of my head!!
