Walmart oil filter

I was at Walmart (Roseville, Ca. the one near hwy.65 for those who want to know) a few days ago and picked up some Mopar (Mopar brand) oil filters for the Cummins. They were on clearance for $7.00 each. I bought as many as I could (10) so you may just check to see if the Walmart near you has the same. There were some in with the Fram filters and some at the end of the isle with other clearance stuff.

I'm not knocking your deal.....I'm sure you have read about Fleetguard. which is now Cummins filtration. I have heard that the Mopar oil filter is made by Fleetguard, but I can't confirm it.

You can buy their filters from Geno's Garage for a very good price: Standard LF3972 for $7.50 and Stratopore LF16035 for $10.75. Yes, you will have to pay shipping, which usually offsets sales tax when you buy locally.

FYI...I do use the Stratopore oil filter.

I'm not affiliated with Geno's...just a satisfied customer.

HTH

Something else to consider too is asking the dealer for a break on quantity price. Me being the bargain hunter I am asked if I were to purchase 5 filters if I could get a discount. I think I paid around $10.50 ea. Needless to say I have quite a few filters, now if I just could get a better deal on oil. Costco was about $36.00 a case (Delo 400) now it's over $50.00!! Anybody know of better deals?

no deals from my dealer. there still mad at me. they gave me free life time oil changes. but i chose to do them my self. and since i only change oil once a year i see no reason to let them do it. the oil i get a wallmart is 16.00 a gallon so costco is not any cheaper. and costco does not have 5-40 syn.

If it doesn't say "made in China" don't even think about putting it on your truck!
