The likeliness of finding it is slim to none. It used to be you could buy John Deere's 50 oil which was a 15w-40 dino in the CI-4+ grade, but now JD has even announced that they will be changing it over to CJ-4+.

If you have a dealer in your area, CAT carries DEO 15w-40 in the CI-4+ service classification. I have attached the technical data sheet for your review.

Thanks Dr Drizzle. I do in fact have a Cat dealer just 20 miles away. I will check them out and see if they carry it.

You can get Valvoline premium blue classic (CI 4+) at almost any Napa dealer. Some dealers will have it in gallon containers while others will only have it in 5 gal containers.

Throwing (CI) aside, does anyone know how the new (CJ) PB, Delo, Delvac, etc. stack up against each other? If were going to use the new stuff I'd like to know which one is the better of them.

TIA,
Eric

As long as I can still buy CI-4+ from Amsoil I'm not going to worry. I will not use CJ-4 oil until I'm either penniless or no one makes it any longer.

So what's everyone been paying for DEO? My local CAT dealer wants 17.99/gal for it. That's nuts if you ask me for dino.
