bob4x4 out of curiosity what are you considering "hot?" 800 degrees? 1100 degrees? I'm just wondering. I think Sallyman said he could get his EGTs up to 1500 degrees (which, I will agree, is too hot), but these motors were made to pull all day long at 1100 or 1200 degrees. Even the FSM says max EGT is 1100 degrees post turbo, which is a good 1350 to 1400 at the exhaust valve.

yes. i could ee 1500 easy with edge unhooked. empty to. well see what my new engine does. if it gets hot with edge ill unhook it and sell it.
