Vacuum Pump
Vacuum Pump
I just posted a similar thread in non-drivetrain, but have located the problem. My vacuum pump is going crazy and not shutting off at all. I havent checked my cruise control to see if it still works, but the pump is making a lot of noise and doesnt shut off. What could be the problem? I zip-tied the connections and checked the hose for leaks, but still nothing. There is a white nipple sticking out of the bottom that blows air out when the pump is on, and there is no hose connected to it, should there be? I dont want to burn the pump up, and plus the noise is driving me crazy. It used to turn on and run for a few seconds and shut off, and cycle when neccessary while running, but now it runs non-stop. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

From: North Carolina or Kentucky. Take your pick
I may be wrong, but believe pump vents internal to engine. Can cause excess blowby issue if has vacaum leak in hoses, ect. You may already have a fubarred V pump.
