vaccum pump

'04 3500 accessory mounted vaccum pump is making noise, truck has factory jake brake, any one have a resourse for new or reman pumps?

P/N 3965925 at Cummins dealer $197 providing you have OEM installed brake and pump. Have them pull diagram up to compare with yours for comparison.

yep, cummins dealer, $221. looks like a failure every 160k, i doubt remans down the road would be less, thanks, jj.

junk the jake and pump and go with a bd and problem solved forever and a lot better braking.

^^ Looking at your setup because I'm thinking pretty much the same mods. What setting do you run smarty on and what do you get for fuel mileage, empty? average speed? Thanks, and sorry to thread jack..
