I found my upper Radiator hose worn through by the pulley this weekend....there is maybe 3/8 inch clearance between the hose and the pulley....How did it rub through with that much clearance. I check the belt, it’s not loose.

Only thing I can figure is that I put my hand on the hose while it was running at some point and nicked it...


Has anyone else had this problem? Also,,, no one including the dealer had the hose, had to order from NAPA... 3 days to get here.

 

When the hose has pressure it could cause it to flex some, also loose engine mounts can let the engine move up enough to touch too.

 

I checked those.. I had the wife rev it up a few times and the clearance stayed the same.. I found one other complaint on this doing a search... The poster had the same problem finding one also.... I ordered Two.
