You need to add some power.... That will take care of your u-joints!

my passenger u jont went at 28k and the drivers side at 29k, you can start to feel them go when the wheel returns to center its not smooth, kinda jerky, then they will start squeking.

This is just one of the reasons I spent the bucks for Dynatrac free spin hubs.

I did all of mine not too long ago, and put spicer greasables in the rear and front driveshafts. The '06 axleshafts did not have high quality greasable joints available-as a matter of fact, the buddy of mine who works at a driveline shop who got me the u joints said that the quality of the greasable u joints available for the front axleshafts were so far below the quality of the factory joint that he wouldn't even sell them to me. However, he said all the other greasable joints for the driveshafts were far BETTER in quality than the factory joints, so that's what I went with.

The only plus that I can see to the sealed-for-life joint (besides no maintenance) is that theoretically, it is stronger, since it doesn't have a grease channel drilled through the center of it. I don't know if that makes a difference in real life though.

I have found through experience that the sealed-for-life Spicer joint has a longer lifespan than any other joint I have seen or tried. (especially Precision.) These are the joints that the 2nd gen trucks were built with, and most of them are still original. The benefit to these joints is that the seal is much more positive, as they don't have to expel old grease as new is pumped in. They are far better at keeping moisture and dirt out than a greasable joint. The seal is the biggest problem on the AAM u-joints in the 3rd gen trucks; and I also believe the amount of grease added to these joints during manufacture is inconsistent.

I have replaced many AAM joints on 3rd gen trucks with sealed Spicer joints, and have never had to deal with a u-joint problem or maintenance again.

btw- I used Precision greasables in my driveshaft also. So far, so good.
I was driving home and in some traffic. I happened to be in the left lane near the barrier in the median and heard a clunking noise. When I got home I got under the truck and started looking for something loose and found that I could move the drivers side ujoint about 1/32" by hand. Passenger side is still tight.
