Ujoints in AL R/Driveshaft
Hello
Just recently joined this site , I have a 2007 Dodge Ram 3500 Mega cab (Diesel)Having Problems with bad vibration had tires all checked and Balanced Checked OK But did not help the problem, When i got home i got under the truck graped the driveshaft at the Rear and the shaft sides back and forth in the drive shaft itself aganst the 2 snap rings What the deal with this was the wrong ujoint installed or maybe the ears got spread Need some input Is there more than one ujoint for this aluminum shaft? Thanks

Sounds to me like it may have been either a wrong part installed, or the ears have spread. There are many different brands to choose from, but I would start with a quality joint like a non-greaseable Spicer Life joint, install it and see how it goes in. That may be the end of it, or you may find out the shaft has been damaged and needs repair.
