just make alignment mark on yoke to driveshaft so everything goes back the same way. otherwise it is a simple repair.

EXACTLY !!! I lost my marks on reassembly, consequently I couldn't drive faster than 45mph, I finally had to take whole shaft to a shop and have it re-balanced at a cost of $ 180....

Mark the yokes very well.

Well I got the joints out in about 30 minutes. However the new ones I bought at napa did not fit. The actual body of the joint was to large to pass through the ears of the shaft. Now I can't find any replacements and the dealer is a special order.

Any one have part numbers for aftermarket u-joints.

Well I ordered some from Advance Auto they are some Neapco 3-0486 which cross reference over to a napa 351 which are the wrong ones. I seen A picture of the Neapcos and they look identical. I will find out tomarrow when I actually get my hands on them. Dealer wanted 121 a peice for them and a 2-3day order on top of that. I hope the Neapcos work out.

I read that same thread the prescion 351 and 464 are the same joint they superceed themselves I found that out first hand. Tomorrow I will check these Neapco ones out that I ordered through Advance Auto. The picture looks identical to OEM. Whats weird is the Neapco number cross references directly to the prescion 351 which is not the wright part.

On Rock auto's site, they say the 464's may have 351 stamped on them... doesn't sound too promising to me....
It's either the right one or NOT... how hard is it to get a correct fitting joint these days.

go here... http://parts.theujointstore.com/partfinder2.pl

if you scroll down you can see Dodge Ram 2500 years 90-06 use two different part number for spicer... each one has different cup sizes... guess you gotta measure (somehow) before you order..

One has a cup size of 1.118" and the other 1.260" or something close to that. So their are definitely different sizes being thrown around...

I'm getting ready to do my rear joints on my truck. Went to Napa and they gave me the precsion 330 u-joints. Mine truck is the 6 speed manual. I think these are the wrong joints. Can some one tell me what the correct part number is?

NAPA 351 are for 2003 trucks or I am thinking are for Nv5600 because they have a different shaft. NAPA 330 are for auto trans. I just bought some from advance auto. They are Neapco 3-0486 and they are the right ones. The body of the joint is small like the oem one. Weird thing is the Neapco 3-0486 directly crosses over to the NAPA 351 which will not work. Looks like NAPA needs to revise their catalog.
