My o3 has 70,500 miles and the u joints were replaced at 32,000. They are bad now and the dealer is going to replace the driveshaft. And is going to cover the cost as"goodwill" , all I have to pay is 100.00. What is the problem with these draftshafts are they out of round or what?

I think I found the anwser to the front u-joints left and right. They are precision 464 (greaseable)for the AAM 9.25 axle,if anyone needs them. From what the service manager tells me they have had alot of the front u-joints fail also.coobie.

got 'em

Got the precision one's on today(tranny shop did 'em with my tranny service),they said they were a ***** to do and too long to get the circlips in,so they had to grind 'em a bit to be perfect.Truck runs like a dream now though. They said if it had not been a slow day they would have refused to put anything in but the stock Dodge repacement, because all the aftermarket one's run wide.Glad I didn't do these myself.
