turbo pressure??????

seems like my truck does not have as much turbo boost as it use to? seems to be shy on power. the reason i question it is because i rode in a buddies truck the other day and by the sound of it from inside the cab his seems to make alot more turbo pressure than mine and i asked him to let me drive and it had more get up and go than mine and they are identical trucks. i'm thinking i should get a gauge on it and check to see. i'm wondering what kind of pressure i should see with no load and then with appx 5500lbs on it, it just doesnt seem to spool up like it use to after riding in my buddies truck which is the same year ,03 ho with 48re and 3.73s and sime size tires 285s any help would be great
thank you

You could have a leak in the pressure side of the turbo. Check the clamps on the hoses. There could be other causes.

Mine produces around 25 psi under a load in sixth gear at WOT and 1600 rpm.

I was wrong in my previous statment from memory.

I get around 25psi at around 2500 rpm at WOT. At idle it is almost 0 and at 1500 decelerating it is around 2 to 4 psi. Crusing at 1500 RPM it is between 6 and 10 psi.
