Truck Is Sitting For A Long Time ?'s
My 2004 is sitting alot lately for very long periods of time and I mean months,I bet last year I put less them 1000 miles on it. Is there anything I should be doing to make sure no harm comes to my baby,it is nestled in my garage which stays around 50 degrees during the winter. I hate doing this and wish I could drive it but with the price of fuel and washing that thing in the winter the little honda accord is much easier. And I also wanted to say hi to all the new guys and gals I haven't been on here in a long time.
The only thing I know of is to add Stanadyne fuel conditioner or a similar product to keep little critters from growing in your fuel. Algae can start to form at around 6 months depending on the temperature and a variety of other factors.

WOW, haven't seen that name in a while!!
I would also put the fuel conditioner in it. As far as driving it, the winter might be harder only because you want the keep the snow and salt off of it but I would say to at least drive it once every 2 weeks in the warmer months. Even if it is just to the store and bake. Get it to operating temp. The worst thing to do is let a vehicle sit.
