Truck Shakes
My 2005 Dodge Ram diesel 4x4 2500 will inconsistantly shake at 70mph plus. Once in awhile I be driving on the interstate 75mph & hit a little bump. The whole truck shakes so bad I have to stop. And I start up again & it's ok. It's done this 5 times now. I have 28000 miles on it. Anybody expereince this?

I have finally solved all the shakes on my 03 Dually....Don't get me wrong....I've solved it many times only to have it reoccur for some other reason.
From the sound of it:
Check your front drive shaft....the centering ball on this shaft wears early and when you go over a bump....it gets off center for a while ....if you let off completely and then back on the throttle it should realign...if it doesn't it is worn too much....if the front shaft u-joints are half shot it will accentuate the vibration.
All u-joints should be checked
Always have your wheels dynamically balanced on the truck...this is the best investment I've done and it's cheaper than standard balancing around here.
If you have a center carrier bearing on your rear drive shaft it can be worn causing the shaft to sag and when you go over a bump it can slop around....try to find a drive shaft specialist that can replace the stock carrier bearing with a solid rubber one. Always ensure that the carrier bearing is centered on the driveline......often this requires a 3/4 drop spacer under the bearing.
Good Luck, Kerry
