Truck Problem and Code

I have had a Quad XZT on my truck for 12k miles now. I noticed yesterday going home the truck just didn't feel right. The idle seemed rough. This morning it fired up fine and when I went to get on the highway I had NO power. It took forever to get to 65 mph and then it would not pulll a hill without shifting down. I stopped to fill up and pulled the box and installed the dummy plug. When I left the station I was back to full power all the way to work and the rough idle was gone. I did check for codes before I came in and had a P0514. Any ideas or clues? I will call Quad on it later today. Thanks

I have got the quad xzt on my truck also, got the 0514 code a couple of days ago. The truck seems to run fine though, but some idle surge when cold, let us know what quad says.

514

The 514 code is a battery temp malfunction code (or something on the lines of that) I got that too. A lot of trucks are getting this code and I am starting to believe that it has something to do with the trucks running odd.

Mine has it too. Had it cleared, but it came back. Does anybody else have any info on it and should we be concerned about it? Is there a fix?

I just put the box back on the truck and will see what it does tomorrow morning. If it still runs bad I will call Quad Monday and see what they say. I really don't think the code has anything to do with what happened but who knows.

I remember recently reading a post/thread where DC admits that there is a problem witht he Battrey sensor but that so far they did not have a solution. Do a search for the code and see what you can find.

Well the truck ran fine all the way to work this morning with the box back on the truck. I guess I will have to keep my eye on it for a while and see if it happens again.
