Truck getting harder to start!!

Ok the truck in my sig has started lately taking 3-4 crank cycles to start and then sometimes it won't do it unless step down on the throttle and then it starts up and smokes black for a little bit. Anybody have an idea what could be causing this? should I get worried? thanks.

Mine started to do the same thing a couple of months ago at 144K miles, turned out that I had an injector leaking down. Got them to Don M at F-1 and had 40HP nozzles put on. One injector was leaking down and had to be rebuilt.
Now it will start almost instantly, reminds me of my 2000 2nd gen truck.

I agree--check the injectors.

Is that something covered under the 100,000 warranty? Truck only has about 65,000 miles on it. Thanks for any info.

Is there any codes? If it's good once in a while it may be a cam sensor.
Good luck,

If your running fuel additives, don't tell em. They will most likely void the warranty. Even says so in the owners manual!!!!
