Luckily I was able to pull off the road and into a large parking lot after I put her in neutral. It's darn hard to steer and stop these trucks with no power.

Anyhow, my only code I pulled and cleared was a high fuel rail pressure (p0088) I believe. Why would this cause a shut down?

This is the first time anything like this has happened in 70,000+ miles. I'm running SmartyJr and nothing else. I did clean engine compartment earlier in the day so I'm thinking maybe some moisture caused a freak-out? She started right back up and no problems since.
Any opinions?

 

Yeah, it could be water. I had an issue one time after I washed the engine compartment.

how far had you drove after you washed it?

 

About ten miles... I would've assumed that any moisture would evaporate by then due to engine heat.

Good news is I put over a hundred miles since then without a problem. No other codes have popped up.
