Truck Clatter Or Rattle
Truck Clatter Or Rattle
Since the day I drove my truck of the lot with 14 miles on it it has had a clatter or rattle when it is warm others sounded the same that day. When the truck is cold it is quiet. Once it gets up to 140* it starts to clatter. The injectors all test good 95% was the lowest injector output. I hear the same clatter on about every third truck I come across and it doesn't matter weather its a six speed or auto. When the truck is above idle the clatter goes away. I have been told by two different techs that its the nature of the beast, they also stated that this is not uncommon they said they see trucks like this more often than not. I also run stayadyne performance formula every tank and change the oil every 3500 miles with valvoline blue 15-40. Could this be a valve out of adjustment? 16000 miles and still sounds the same. Just wanted to know what you guys think.

Don't know buy my truck with 700 miles seems to have the clatter...sounds like it is coming from the passenger side of the motor. Doesn't do it as loud when it's cold buy when it's warm it's more pronounced. Sounds like a tinging type of sound.
