Clatter on bottom of windshield

I have an 03 shortbed SO. The black plastic that covers from the top of the hood to the base of the windshield (wipers come out of there as well) vibrates and clatters against the base of the windshield at 60-70 mph on the drivers side. It appears to be a top section as it overlaps the piece on the passenger side in the middle.
Anyone else have this problem?
Levering the plastic up I can see what appears to be some dried up adhesive. Looks like I need a re-glue job. ???

Ya know, a couple of weeks I heard something similar, and could'nt figure it out. Haven't heard it since, so I forgot all about it, but I was on the highway doing around 70 when I heard it too. I'll have to take a look...-Steve

Sometimes if you have a wind deflector or hood protector thingie they disrupt the air flow and will cause the cowl panel to shake and bang.

So that's where my rattle is coming from ;D I'll have to check it out and see if I can rig something up to fix it. I'll wait until after my windshield gets replaced because it already has a crack from a stone chip.

I have the hood protector too but haven't noticed the noise yet but I am sure I will be listening NOW thank you! ;D

Had my truck less than 3 days before a small rock hit my windshield and cracked it. > Luckily it was repairable for the most part.

Re:Clatter on bottom of windshield

I have had a wind deflector since purchasing truck - just at one year now. Many trips at 70 mph+ with no noise, this came up in latest trip. There are only two screws, at the respective ends, holding the cowling, one panel overlaps the other in the center - seems to me there should be some other adhesion and maybe the GA sun has fried mine. Any ideas on what would glue this clatter down w/o doing any damage?

There should be push pin clips that holds the cowling down. The clips are underneath the hood at the firewall. Two screws holds the corners down.
