Truck Advice

I am in the market for a new truck. About a year ago I sold my 05 cummins and bought a gas. Now I am looking for a diesel again. My wife wants me to get a new truck, but I think I want to find a low mileage 5.9. I am worried that the newer motors aren't going to perform as well as my 5.9 did. I am especially Leary of the the 2010. did they make drastic changes? Are my concerns justified? Have there been any maintenance or performance issues with the 6.7s? I like to keep things simple, to me more high tek bells and whistles means more things to go wrong.
