Transmission shifts from Park to Reverse

I recently purchased a 4 door 2004.5 Dodge 3500 5.9L 48re.
I experienced the transmission shifting from Park into Reverse while idling (three times). The last time this happen my unattended truck damaged three cars before stopping, fortunately nobody was hurt. Others have experienced this when engine was off, or when they closed the door while idling and the truck shifted into reverse. Apparently there is a small spot between Park and Reverse that can fool you into assuming it's in Park when it's not. If you have experienced this happening to you please contact the DOT http://www.nhtsa.dot.gov/cars/problems/ and fill out the Consumer Complaints form. Others owners have notified them regarding this problem, and they are investigating this Dodge design problem. If this is something you have experienced or know someone who has, let them know before someone is seriously hurt from this issue. Be aware this can happen, and yes..always use your parking brake whether running or turned off.

PS. I really love my truck!
