Transmission shift problem?

I have a 2005 4WD with an Automatic trans, over the past few weeks the shift from 2nd to 3rd has really got harsh. he truck has 35k on it and the trans was flushed using Mopor ATF. It seems a little erratic at times so my question is, other than the trans itself is there anything that controls the shift on these trucks similiar to a Throttle Posistion Sensor I need to look at?

Thanks in Advance

I'm sorry I can't help you out much... but I just wanted to comment at the extremely low mileage you have on your '05. 35k... WOW, that thing is a cherry. Your engine won't even be broken in until 2020!

Did you use the ATF4 stuff that it calls for? Did you do the flush yourself? Did you replace the pan filter? I can't remember exactly but there are like 2 (I think) bands that can be adjusted and one of them deals with 2nd & 3rd gear. Find yourself a good trusted transmission shop. If it's a band adjustment it will probably be under $100.

The trans has a pressure transducer and a solenoid that pulses to vary the pressure. The computer monitors the transducer and pulses the solenoid based on rpm, speed and throttle position. If either of these is not working right the shifting will get funky. The best way to find out what is going on is to have the pressure checked to make sure a piece of dirt or something didn't damage them.

Don't know if this helps or not. But, changing my tranny fluid caused me all kinds of problems. It created a wicked flare between 1st and 2nd. Long story short; new fluid loosened some debris and my solenoid went to crap. Replace the solenoid with the GM version Suncoast sells and replaced the pressure sensor. Fixed my problem for the most part, but a DTT shift-enhancer fixed the rest. Still not completely satisfied. But....

Oh, and I just hit 36,000 on my 05.
