Transmission Pan

Hey, I found this on ebay, dont really know how good the quality is behind these but wanted to know what yall thought about them. Pricing is pretty good it seems. There is also a cast aluminum pan for 219 made by the same people on there. I'm not one to skimp out on sheap stuff, but it is just a pan right, or am I wrong? Let me know what yall think. Thanks

I bought that pan from another web site for I think $70 seems to do the same thing as the more expensive pans for ALOT less $$

Thats maybe what I was thinking. I know the Mag Hytec's are loved by their owners, but In my opinion, it is just a pan that hold more fluid, and cooling tubes seem like they would work better to me.

.....But, I have been wrong before.

I might try it out. I dont think it has a temp sender port, but I might buy the new line anyways. Thanks.

Looks good to me..............and the price is right! I hope the guy that puts all those tubes in is a good welder. You could probably order a new filter from those guys as well.

It doesnt have a temp sending port which is fine because I had built a line to put my temp probe in. This pan has been working fine so far for me about a month now and I just looked at the place I got mine its $76 if you want the site pm me.

Just never drive though mud. They'll just clog. Love to see a person under his truck with some pipe cleaners cleaning these ports out.

I would stick to an aluminum pan. Not only is it a better pan, but it adds rigidity to the trans.

Purduepurdy- I didnt think about the mud, thanks for reminding me!

Pro Dart- I beleive this one is steel, which I think aluminum would still be better, but if an aluminum pan will add rigidity, then why wouldnt a steel pan do the same? Thanks for yalls input.

The steel pan is not as thick as an aluminum one. That is why it doesn't add the rigidity. Aluminum will also release the heat quicker than a chrome pan.

Another thought...The mag-hytec double deep pan includes an extension to get the filter/pickup deeper into the additional fluid. Does this steel pan include such an extension? I'd be concerned that without the extension, you may no be able to pull the 'coolest' fluid.
