Transmission and other misc issues

Hey guys, took the truck into the shop a couple times this week. few questions that I'd like to ask to see what knowledge you guys can bestow.

First thing is I got my crank position sensor replaced. I assumed replacing my battery cables would fix it since it was giving a voltage high/low reading intermittently, but alas, it did not. New confirmed working sensor and the code is still present. Any ideas?

Second, I have a code for high pressure in my fuel rail. I do have a Banks Six Gun on it, but when I played with it by putting on different power levels, I noticed no difference at all in performance so I was under the assumption that the previous owner was a novice and didn't hook his chip up correctly. Am I doing it wrong? Should I set it on a different power level while the truck is off or something? What else could cause this code?

Third, I went to the transmission shop today so they could do a ride and read issues in the transmission. Please go easy if I don't get the terminology correct on some of this stuff! They took it for a ride, and noticed that the pressure governor, the part in the trans that dictates proper fluid pressure for shifting, was itself changing pressures when under no load/going on a flat surface/coasting. The transmission has been "bucking" in that it searches gears and sometimes seems to go into neutral entirely. I don't think it has gone into torque lock overdrive for me since the issue has started. I said something about an alternator noise filter to them which I did purchase, but they said it does not seem to be the case. Could they be wrong? Does alternator noise affect that specific part of the trans, thus causing the common bucking issue? Is this something any of you have heard alot of before or come across where a solenoid replacement is due?

Sorry for the long post and all the questions, as I've said before I am taking a leap of faith here because this is the first Cummins I've owned. Picked up the old girl for a good price and really want to see her road worthy. Any tips/pointers/help is much appreciated fellas. Thank you for taking the time to read.
