Transmission Issues

Took my truck into the dealer today for some warranty work, for Transmission
slipping, leaking fluid, and hunting for gears. Service advisor tells me that if the transmission was slipping that I would have a check engine light no matter what. Does this sound correct?

Can't speak for the leakage, but I had the infamous 1-2-1 shift hunt and sometimes soft or sloppy shifts. Took to dealer with copy of TSB for changing out the governor pressure solenoid and transducer. Dealer here in Jacksonville Fl replaced them under warranty, and I couldn't be happier.. Do a search on TDR for the 1-2-shift or go to Geno's gararge, there you can get a listing of all the current TSB's. Hope this helps.

Do you have a link for the TSB? I couldn't find it on Geno's website. Thanks.
