Smile Transgo and HTS

Last weekend I installed the Transgo SK48RE shift kit in my truck.
I've done a couple of C-6 kits before and so I thought "no big deal".
We, lets just say the Transgo directions leave a lot to be desired. First, there are no directions for taking apart the valve body and it's a very complicated unit.
There were several struggles removing, installing the kit and reinstalling the valve body. I won't go there now but if any of you care for more information, I can expand further.
I wasn't the happiest camper on my first test drive. The 1-2 and 3-4 shifts were good as was the lock up, but the 2-3 shift wasn't good.
I talked to tech support and their suggestion was to loosen the front band 1/2 turn. I did this and although the shift was better, it still wasn't as good as stock. The shift has the same symptoms that other people experienced after install this kit. Again, I'll expand further if anyone is interested.
So, I decided to contact HTS and buy a complete valve body. I decided on HTS after reading through several posts about the various transmission shops.
All I can say is Dusty is the man. I'm absolutely in awe that he would call me and spend over 15 minutes on the phone with me.
I was pretty much convinced that I'd buy his valve body until he talked me out of it. For $50 bucks, he said he could fix my problem. As a matter of fact, he said call him when I get ready to install the parts and he'd talk me through it. WOW. I can't believe he talked me out of buying his valve body and instead, he's selling me $50 worth of parts. He is GREAT. He's more interested in making my truck work right, instead of making $395 from selling me a valve body. I cannot tell you all how impressed I am with him.
When I need a full tranny after this one goes out, I'll let you all guess who I'll buy a tranny from.
THANK YOU DUSTY!

UPDATE:
Dusty at HTS sent me the necessary parts. Because I wasn't going to be able to install the parts 'til the weekend, I requested that Dusty email me the directions. He said he'd rather talk me through the install rather than email me directions.
Anyway, I installed the necessary parts and WOW-problem fixed!!!
The shifts are excellent, there's no hunting or overlap. Again, Dusty is the man.
The two things about him and HTS that impressed me the most were; he sold me $50 dollars worth of parts rather than a $400 valve body and he called me on a Saturday and walked me through the installation of the parts. When this tranny dies I'll be ordering from HTS and Dusty.
HTS is very customer oriented, their communication with me was awesome and Dusty truely knows his transmissions and cares about his customers.
THANKS DUSTY and HTS!

I've got the same problem after my shift kit install.

Very curious what the $50 fix is.

If I had to do it over again, I'd just buy a valve body from Dusty rather than dick with a shift kit. Hindsite is always 20-20.
Anyway, Dusty sent me a valve, a servo spring and washer. I believe the valve was the Sonnax manual valve but I have no clue about the front servo spring or washer. HTH
Oh, rather than following the directions for front band adjustment, he had me measure the band arm movement at the servo and adjust it to allow 5/16" to 3/8".
