Trans Oil question
Trans Oil question
I realize I don't have teh truck....yet. Just doing my research.
Are there any aftermarket trans fluid refiners out there? Or, is the DC trans still extremely sensitive to oil, like I read about the mid-late 90's?
Anyone offerring synthetic?
Thanks!
Tony

If you are looking for "specialty" trans fluids, you might want to get on' Bob is the oil guy.com' and look for postings by MolaKule. He is the owner of Specialty Formulations. He manufactures, what are supposed to be, very high quality synthetic lubrication products using only the best materials. He has an excellent reputation, over there. There are many stories of improved shifting and driving quality on that site.

Buffalo / Durango,
Thanks for the info.
So, if the ATF+4 is synthetic, i won't bother looking any further. I found the Synthitc trans fluid to be superior in my ford and wanted to see what else was out there. That, and wanted to see if there was another quality trans fluid that was cheaper that the OEM.
thanks!
