I was racing uo the big hill at the sand dunes now my truck makes a horrible whining noise. Only when reved, will make it driving or in neutral. Sounds like a bearing going out. Was at 40 psi boost and chopped the throttle to avoid a crash. Stock turbo. Boost fooler

 

Pull the intake tube off the front of the turbo,grab the shaft and check for play.

I love Olds and the looks you get with 7-8k blasting up to the top.Did you hit the sand drags too?

yea. my truck has a utilty box so it looks kinda funny. It is a blast passing all the lifted gas trucks.

Checked the turbo. it is toast. any idea where I can get ahold of a used stock turbo, or upgraded near glamis?
