tranny toast- will they replace.

my 2005 had the last of the 7yr-70K warranty. the truck has only 60K and less then 7 years old so will they replace it w/o any cost to me.
i know these trannys were the reason they did away with the 7-70 in 2006.
Truck has never been in for ANYTHING before. any important TSB's or other things i should get done.
I guess i'll go to Price Dodge across the Del. bridge in New Castle , Delaware because i asked the question a while back if anyone knew a good dodge dealer within 50 miles of me and never got an answer.
thanx , crossy

you better have proof of servicing the tranny at the correct intervals unless you have had them done at the dealership

just wondering how the steering has anything to do with the tranny? plus they won't just toss on the upgraded steering for giggles.

Hi crossy,

I have attached a link, if you wish to look up any information regarding recalls and TSB's associated with the vehicle. Once you get to the site, click on the "For Owners" area. At that point go to the "About my Vehicle" area and fill in the questions asked about your vehicle.

It would be very uncommon for them to replace it... Repair yes... replace, No. :-)

I would think they would run it down to a local transmission shop.

Have them run it down to local shop and then you pay the difference for upgraded parts to help make your tranny bulllet proof. You won't spend that much and will be much happier with the end results, as long as the tranny shop is any good.

would be cool if it were possible but warranty don't work that way. if it were an aftermarket warranty he could get away with this but not factory warranty

You list you have minor mods.. Depends on the mods.Form what I've been reading on the boards. They could be a warranty killer

technical service bulletin is just that. it aids the techs for repairing an issue it is not a recall. they won't replace the linkage unless there is an issue with excessive wear.
