tranny slip???

tranny slip???

going to work this moring and had to stand on it pretty hard to get around a truck. rpms came up but not much else happend let off an put my foot down again that time it did like it was suppose to. i just bought this pickup and dont know any history on it.3/4 auto 4x4 2004 . far as i know everthing is stock. i do not know much about transmissons what do i have in my pickup it just has 59000 miles on it why did it slip thanks

I'm no transmission expert by any means, but i had similar issues with my truck, 82,000 miles on the clock.
I had a ShiftGo shift kit installed and it didn't do much good, it shifted a little better. The biggest improvement was a triple clutch torque converter from Dave Goerend. My truck is like a brand new truck now.

From what i've been able to find and people i spoke with, the TC is the weakest link on these trucks and starts to fail first. It certainly made all the differance in the world on mine.
