Tranny questions on 04

Well the ol' 04 is now over 120,000. So I thought I'd ask a few questions. I've performed at least 2 tranny services at the dealer, one at around 40,000 and at 80,000. So I'm due for another one.

I did a search on tranny issues--some good info. I tow a light load only a few times a year. My trailer probably is less than 6000 lbs. I'll probably keep the truck another 2 years.

So:
1. Should I consider taking it in to a performance shop rather than the typical dealer fluid change/band adjust? I haven't noticed any issues, but certainly things could be wearing out inside.

2. If yes to above, what changes should I consider, TC and new bands, etc? I don't need anything too heavy duty, and I don't have any mods.

3. Any shops around Portland area to recommend?

Given your mods, if it aint broke dont fix it. Especially if you plan on selling it in 2 years.
Fluid and filter would do the job.

154,000 miles on my 04 with auto tranny. Still runs like the day I bought it. I do fluid and filter every 30,000-40,000, have never touched the bands and have never had it flushed.
